Our Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safe operation of DMM’s trucks and for a safe performance of the overall delivery process, including loading, transport and offloading of product at destination, including customer sites or DMM’s or Primary Terminals. Driver must professionally represent DMM before customers and deliver service that exceeds customer’s expectations. Driver is to oversee the proper operation of his/her assigned truck.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Regional Manager

Interacts with Logistics Coordinators (LC) for the daily scheduling of deliveries.

Directly interacts with customer and DMM’s and Primary Terminal Personnel.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will include, but not be limited to the following:

OPERATIONS AND SAFETY:

Adhere to established safe working procedures, ensuring proper use of always required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing his/her job.

Adheres and follows defined procedures and programs.

Full compliance to National Safety Code (NSC).

Effectively manages vacation and bank time.

Deliver excellent customer service, displaying a professional presentation and behavior at customer sites.

Actively participates in weekly meetings.

Daily Inspection of assigned truck/unit.

Immediately report any safety incidents to Regional Manager or LCs and help on the investigation process and resolution.

Report any maintenance issues to Regional Manager.

Provide any positive or negative feedback from customers to Regional Manager.

Provide any business opportunity leads identified while on the field.

Monitoring approved contractors who are on site for maintenance or installation work.

Prepare and send required daily paperwork on deliveries to LCs.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS​
-
Completion of secondary school is usually required.

On-the-job-training is provided.
-
Completion of an accredited driver training course of up to three months duration, through a vocational school or community college, may be required.

A Class 1 or A licence is required to drive long combination vehicles.

A Class 3 or D licence is required to drive straight-body trucks.
-
Air brake endorsement (Z) is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes.
-
Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification is required for drivers who transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.

Additional licensing endorsement or certification may be required to drive articulated trucks.
